How the 4G technology will impact the future of VoIP?

Improvement in internet technology has always paved ways for new possibilities and offerings for the internet users. VoIP or voice over internet protocol phone service has been around for more than a decade now but the biggest challenge that it always faced was using it without wires. A huge problem that has always created hurdles in using VoIP like cell phones is the infrastructure limitations. 3G technologies had always struggled to provide the speed required run the VoIP technology smoothly like a mobile phone. Now, 4G has started rolling out as many of the carrier services are now offering this service to their customers. The first major problem that has always been an issue for the 3G has been the insecure internet connection. 4G will have a major improvement for the Mobile VoIP users as far as the security issues are concerned.
The biggest leap forward brought by 4G has been the speed of the data transfer, which would be around one gigabit per second. The new technology is said to work in a different way as compared to the 3G technology. 3G totally worked on the CDMA technology, while on the other hand, 4G would be using the frequency domain equalization schemes and many intelligent antennas for the transmission purposes. 4G has been supported by many technologies but so far the most successful and renowned have been WiMax and LTE.
WiMax is the short for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave. It is a specially designed telecommunication protocol, which supports the wireless broadband. The earlier WiMax version was capable of transmission speeds of up to 40Mbit / second only. The new improvements in the 4G will surely upgrade the speed to 1 Gigabit per second.
LTE or Long Term Evolution was introduced into the telecommunication industry in early 2008. As the technology has now improved, many of the bigger cell phone network providers are now offering 4G technology to the general public.
4G and its impact on internet phone services:
Many of the big names in the VoIP industry have looked towards an opportunity where they could provide their service to the VoIP subscribers on the move. Mobile VoIP’s future success chances have further risen with the introduction of the 4G technology. 4G technology has removed the bottleneck that was created because of the slow 3G network. Now you can use your VoIP services just like you enjoy your cell phone without any sudden disconnection or broken voioce.
